This home features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, 1,515 square feet and was originally built in 1902. It was completely remodeled in 2009. It was designed to maintain its old world charm while providing modern day amenities. This home is one block east of downtown Austin. It is bright and airy with ten foot ceilings throughout, vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom and many windows for natural lighting. A mere five blocks away from Austin’s famous Sixth Street entertainment district and within walking distance to fine dining, coffee houses and art galleries, it’s easy to say that this home is in a fantastic location. Did we mention that the University of Texas at Austin is a short 1.5 mile jaunt where you can enjoy all of UT’s athletic events? If you are coming to Austin for a convention, you’re in luck! This home is a short five minute walk to the convention center.

Take in a view of the downtown skyline from the living, dining, kitchen or back porch, enjoy the private back yard equipped with a bar on the back covered deck or take a bike ride, walk or short taxi ride to all the fun that Austin offers on a daily basis. There are so many amazing restaurants in our little neighborhood that you will not go hungry or thirty. Fabulous coffee, wine, beer, pizza and other yummy food awaits you! However you decide to spend your time in Austin, the charm of the home and special location will guarantee a fabulous experience.

The home is located in an eclectic neighborhood. This area immediately east of downtown Austin is home to many local artists, musicians, unique establishments and renovation projects. There is a church across the street and many long time residents on the block. All the neighbors are wonderful and friendly. If you are looking for a “Leave It to Beaver” neighborhood, this may not be for you. If you are noise sensitive, you should know that this house is just half a block from I35. From the master bedroom, you will hear the traffic at a low level. Bring your ear plugs if that might bother you! If you are looking for an enchanting dwelling with close proximity to everything Austin has to offer, this is definitely the place!

At this time, this property does not allow pets. If you are in need of a pet friendly property please let us know and we'd be happy to make some recommendations.

    Our experience was smooth and easy. Cristina and Brooke looked after us, and everything was pretty clear. Communications were prompt and helpful. Amy even helped us figure out the tv, when she popped in to drop off some supplies, and gave us some great advice about Austin in general.

    We were here for NI Week 2017, so a brisk 10 minute walk was all it took for us to "commute" to our conference.

    The house was very spacious, and in excellent condition. They have done a great job with the place, and everything about the house was 1st class!

    We spent most of our time in Downtown Austin, but when we were here, it was more of homely place to come back to rather than a plain hotel.

    Thanks again. Will definitely consider this place again for future conferences!

    Very clean, updated spacious home. Very convenient location for downtown Austin activities. Best stocked rental property I have ever stayed in- toiletries, paper products, basic kitchen cooking items. There was only a French press for coffee so we inquired about a coffee maker as we drink Lots of coffee and property management delivered one immediately. Highly recommend this home.

    We had an amazing experience in the house. It was clean and beautifully kept and very close to downtown/Rainey Street. Brooke from Emerson Guest Properties was very responsive with all our requests and was even able to accommodate a last minute late check out due to our delayed flight. I couldn't have asked for a better stay and would definitely use Emerson again.

    We had a group of 5 girls here, and could have definitely had 6 with a lot of space. This house and location were both perfect for a weekend getaway! The back porch was great for hanging out at all times of the day (at night the lights were so pretty!), and very private, and the house is a 10 minute walk to Rainey Street or a 15 minute walk to the river. It was super clean, and had everything we needed. I would definitely come back!
